Plantman selected Country Solar to design and install a 30kw commercial solar system at its Perth workshop in Bellevue, WA.

Plantman Equipment is a privately owned Western Australian company, established in 1993, principally engaged in earthmoving, construction and mining equipment rental, sales, parts and servicing within Australia.

The system features:

  • 2 x 15kw Tri-Power Commercial GoodWe Inverters
  • 120 X JA Poly 250w “Tier one Solar Modules”

Using 50 kilowatts an hour was costing Mark and Sue a fortune. Knowing that we could install LED lighting to replace their 15 kilowatts of High Bay lights we decided to install 30 kilowatts of Goodwe Inverters with 35 kilowatts of JA Solar Panels.

Solar has reduced their mid to late afternoon power consumption sufficiently that their Electricity Retailer agreed to a 3 cents a unit reduction in their On Peak tariff.

This has saved them an additional $4,000 a year on top of the $15,000 solar savings.

This 35kW system, located in Port Kennedy WA features:

  • 2 x 15kw Tri-Power Commercial GoodWe Inverters
  • 140 X JA Poly 250w “Tier one Solar Modules”

Rick Haselby was one of the first businesses in Country Western Australia to install a commercial size PV solar system.

The next decision is how much more solar to install?

  • 120 X JA Poly 250w “Tier one Solar Modules”

Considered the first true “Resort” hotel in Western Australia the Silver Sands resort in Mandurah is still very popular.

Silver Sands Director and Electrical Engineer, Graham James has been very hands on from the beginning and is thrilled with the huge output of this 60kW system.

His consistent feedback has been, “I couldn’t imagine that there is another Solar company that would have been as good to work with as Country Solar, nothing was ever a ‘problem’ instead ‘solutions’ were found and everyone is very happy”.

Possibly the most challenging installation in our history due to the roof configuration and antiquated wiring.

This 60kw system features:

  • 4 x 15kw Tri-Power Commercial GoodWe Inverters
  • 236 X JA Poly 255w “Tier one Solar Modules”

A significant extra benefit of this installation was the shading that the 200 square metres of Solar panels have provided.

A low flat roof meant that Tilt Kits were used to raise the panels by 20 degrees from the horizontal.

As the Tavern doesn’t open until 11:00am the panels were orientated to the Northwest and West rather than all Due North.

With the ceiling of the tavern less than 30 centimetres below the roof the shade from the solar panels has reduced the work load of the Air Conditioners and like Chipmunks is expected to lead to a 3 to 5 cents a unit reduction in On peak tariff.

One of the largest Solar Installations in the South West is now powering Margaret River HOME Timber and Hardware, reducing their grid energy use with the installation of a PV Solar System – this means less fossil fuel burned, releasing less Carbon.

Like most hardware stores, they do not have refridgerated airconditioning. 175 square metres of solar panels has resulted in a noticable reduction in heat inside their store.

This installation has achieved a savings of 44,000 units of electricity a year; an average of120 kilowatts a day. 40% of all electricity consumed will come from Solar.

This 28kw system, located in Margaret River WA features:

  • 1 x 10kw and 1 x 15kw Tri-Power Commercial GoodWe Inverters
  • 108 X JA Poly 260w “Tier one Solar Modules”
